Teachable is a mature platform and we are not here to tell you it is bad. But most creators on it are also paying separately for email, funnels and AI tools — and on some plans, handing over a slice of every sale. We put all of that in one subscription and take 0% of what you earn. Start the free trial, rebuild one course, and decide with real numbers instead of a comparison table.
| Expertise Pays | Teachable | |
|---|---|---|
| Pricing model | Flat subscription, 0% of your sales | Subscription; some plans take a cut of sales |
| Payments | Connect your own gateway — money lands in your account | Processed through the platform |
| Multi-currency | Stripe / PayPal, multi-currency; your own account | Supported, processed through the platform |
| Student migration | Bulk CSV import that creates accounts and grants course access | — |
| Email and funnels | Newsletter CRM, drip sequences and funnels included | Basic; most people add other tools |
| Physical products | Cart, variants, shipping and store pickup | Digital-first |
| AI | Content, ad copy and support AI; bring your own key | Some AI features, plan dependent |
| Ecosystem | Younger — fewer third-party integrations | Large ecosystem and affiliate marketplace |
| Support language | English and Traditional Chinese | English |
| Dynamic video watermark | A watermark that rotates between the four corners, showing the viewer's email, name, phone, student ID, course name or the current time — including in fullscreen. If a recording leaks, the frame tells you which account it came from | Not listed on their site |
| How much a student actually watched (refund evidence) | Records the segments genuinely watched — skipped parts do not count and rewatching the same minute counts once. The student page shows the percentage covered, with a threshold you set that flags it in red. Whether to refund is still entirely your call; the system never accepts or rejects one for you | Not listed on their site (course completion reports) |
| Sequential unlocking | The next lesson unlocks only after the previous one is watched, its quiz passed and its assignment submitted — per course | Content dripping by schedule |

We are not going to pretend we suit everyone. See which side sounds more like you.
There is no Teachable-specific integration, but the part that actually hurts is solved — mapping students to the courses they paid for. Two steps: (1) rebuild your courses and lessons in the admin (videos stay where they are — paste your YouTube, Vimeo or Bunny URLs into each lesson); (2) open each course's student page and paste the enrolment list for that course — one column of emails — and everyone gets access instantly. Missing accounts are created, existing ones are reused, and pasting twice never double-grants. Teachable and Kajabi export one list per course, so there is nothing to merge first. Finish by bulk-loading your old URLs into the 301 redirect tool so the rankings you earned carry over.
No. You connect your own payment gateway, so the money goes straight to your account. The only thing you pay us is the subscription.
We deliberately do not print competitor prices — plans change and a stale number is misinformation. Do this instead: add up what you currently pay for your course platform, your email tool, your funnel builder and any AI writing tool, and put that number next to one subscription here. For most people the gap is not small. Then add whatever percentage of sales your current plan takes, because we take none of it.
Every feature free for 7 days, no long-term contract. Put your current bill next to ours — that is a better test than any comparison table. During migration, the 301 redirect tool keeps the rankings you already earned.
