One-to-one · Adults and children · No experience needed
We start with how you sit and your first note, then move one small step per lesson. Piano Studio builds the plan around your level and the music you want to play — no rushing through a textbook, no exams unless you want them.
By level
01
Get to know the keyboard and rhythm, and get both hands on the keys. A complete first piece within three months.
02
Fill in fingering, pedalling and chords, so pieces stop being merely finished and start sounding good.
03
Interpretation, touch control and stage preparation, planned around your recital, grade exam or audition.

Your teacher
Founder · Principal teacher
Piano major, twelve years of teaching, students from four to sixty-eight years old. Learning the piano does not have to hurt — whether you enjoy the time you spend at the keyboard matters more to me than how much of the book we get through.
Relaxed, not casual
We do not grind through scales until you give up. The first lesson starts from the piece you want to play, and the technique gets filled in along the way — so you always know what a given exercise is for.
The room is bright and bookable for your own practice any time. Once a month there is a small share-and-play evening: no marks, no ranking, just a chance to play what you have learned to someone.

Programs
01
The plan is entirely yours, and lesson times are flexible.
02
Bach through Chopin: solid technique and real interpretation.
03
Hear the chords, build the accompaniment, arrange the songs you love.
04
Harmony, rhythm and improvising until it sounds like you.
05
Put a score in front of you and play it, instead of memorising every piece.
06
Full preparation for ABRSM, Yamaha or music-school entrance.

Children and families
From age four. Games and ear training build the sense of rhythm first, and notation comes in gradually. Parents are welcome to sit in, and we will show you how to help at home — practice should not turn into a daily argument.

“I quit after two years as a child because all I did was follow the book. Starting from a song I loved showed me it could work differently.”

“Piano is the lesson my daughter looks forward to most, and she goes to the keyboard on her own at home. That matters far more than a grade.”

“In the six months before grade five, my teacher broke every piece down so I knew exactly what to practise. No more practising blind.”
